Wholesale Supplies Plus is one of the leading ingredient suppliers for small businesses and DIY crafters alike. Offering their customers everything from soaping to mineral cosmetic supplies, Wholesale Supplies Plus offers a large variety of products for the average small business owners' every day needs. With supplies taken care of, small businesses have more time and resources to allocate to other departments such as marketing. Nowadays, most small businesses resort to social media marketing, and budget cuts means most businesses rely solely on account boosters like SocialWick to help with their marketing. Using Wholesale Supplies Plus frees up room in the budget that can otherwise be allocated.

Below I will provide an honest and informative review of my experience with Wholesale Supplies Plus including product quality, customer service, and tips on how to have a better Wholesale Supplies Plus experience.

Pros:

I have purchased from Wholesale Supplies Plus many times before, and find their products to be superior to many of their competitors. Customer service is impeccable and packaging is offered in containers as opposed to baggies. This is a MAJOR plus if you are a DIY crafter as we all know that scooping shea butter out of a baggie (as many other suppliers sell them) is a hassle and unsanitary. I have found their butters to be of a great quality as well as their oils in general.

Cons:

Unfortunately, there are some cons. The categories that the site is split into make it difficult for quick navigation. Unlike other websites, Wholesale Supplies Plus does not have their website split into east and "to the point" categories such as: Preservatives, Emulsifiers, Oils, Butters, Surfactants, ect. You sort of have to look (hard) for what you want which can be a bit frustrating as their search engine often does not pull up all of their products. I, for example, did a search on their website for preservatives and did not find Optiphen Plus. I then went to their additives category and found Optiphen Plus on the same page with herbal powders and exotic oils.

When I received my first order of Wholesale Supplies Plus, I was happy to see that my "Ready To Use" Aloe Vera Gel was sold to me in a container as opposed to a baggie. Unfortunately my praise in regard to their packaging stops there. It seems that Wholesale Supplies Plus does not list the ingredients that they use in their "Ready To Use" products on their packaging. This can be a bit alarming to ingredient sticklers or people who are reselling products as well. It can be an inconvenience because in order to know what the ingredients in your base are, you have to refer back to their website to look up the included ingredients.

Another downside is the labels in general. The labels are not water, or oil proof, so when just a splash of oil reaches the label.... the words smear. After a period of continued usage of the oils, the words on the labels completely fade away. This can be a problem. I found out about this a little too late, as I now have several bottles of oils and I can't decipher what they are. It's even MORE of a problem because on top of the labels not being waterproof, they also don't have ingredients included. This means that when you purchase a liquid type of product from Wholesale Supplies Plus you are taking the chance that you will completely not know what product you purchased as the labels will undoubtedly leak off after about 3 uses of the bottle.

Another set back is their lack of unique conditioning emulsifiers. This of course leads customers to have to go elsewhere to purchase ingredients such as BTMS and basic surfactants.

Conclusion: All and all Wholesale Supplies Plus is a decent supplier for oils and butters specifically. I would strongly recommend that customers apply a layer of clear tape over their Wholesale Supplies Plus labels on their bottles to prevent leaky labels and smearing, however their oils and butters are of a good quality and are cheaper than some of their competitors.
